Hi folks I posted this in the Excursion forum too but got no responses. Any help is appreciated.
I was under the X and found some road cancer. I found a shop to do the work for a good price. We ordered the parts the catalog said were for the Excursion but they clearly were not. The parts in question are actually the rear doglegs. We tried a set from a SDCC and they were close but not right. I don't want to have to pay 1100 each for rear quarters just to cut the doglegs off. Any ideas or leads? Any of you fellas down south find me a set in salvage yard and I will have them shipped up? Thanks all.

Keep a look out for excursions being parted out on Craigslist, local junk yards, or on this site. a lot of rolled over excursions should have good rockers to chop out with a sawzall for cheap. thats what I would do.
We are in the process of fitting SDCC cab corners for the missing parts. The rear edge of the X door has a gentle curve to it but the truck doors do not. He cut the cab corners apart and we are going to fill the gaps with trimmed off pieces to avoid the use of gobs of filler. I am going to shear some strips of stainless steel at work to replace the inner rockers. The ones from the SDCC are real close but they have extra holes all over that allow crud to get between the inner and outer rockers. Once we pulled the plastic trim off of the rear quarters we found a little rust on the wheel well. SURPRIZE! Right? We pulled the trim off of the front and could pass a beer can through the holes in the fenders. The body on this thing looked great. It had no visable rust at all. Here is a few pics of that rear corner and what he has going.
