chip question

chip question
my truck is an '87 and has a 302 but is carburated. and it being carburated has gotten me quite confused about wether i can use a chip or not. the reason its carburated is because it used to have a 351HO. im pretty sure that i dont have a comp for a chip and that since its a carb it doesnt use a chip either, but i wanted to back myself up on this. thanks
