your behind the times.
things haven't worked like this for many years now.
foreign cars are not so foreign anymore,American cars are not so American either.
in fact, depending on what you buy, buying "foreign" could mean more money stays home.

The one my parents had was a 69 with a 428, same thing 20 at 100.
The speed limit was 55 back then, I don't have a clue what they would have got running the speed limit. lol
gas now contains 10% ethanol.i don't think such a combo would fair so well today.
460's and c6's belong in two places today; play toy's and scrap yards.

460's and C6's and scrapyards, that is a major sin to use in the same sentence. lol

The proper solution is to buy the Grand Marquis and put an IDI in it.

I do have to agree on that 110%! Theres just no replacement for displacement

Be nice to have the biggest gas hogg I can find, especially now since everyone wants smaller and smaller cars for fuel economy.

And I can afford it to, I don't have any expenses like most everyone have. I don't smoke, hardly drink, don't have a cell phone, no ipod, no expensive tastes as you probably noticed..

This van is very weird.

Frame, axles, even driveshaft and anything inbetween frame rails is absolutly spotless, and rust free! but the rockers on both sides, passenger side is worst, behind the rear wheels is full of holes and bondo falling off.

Runs fantastic and is very solid on the highway to my surprise. I guess that's do to the 10 leafs springs per side in the back..... yea shes a rough ride.

But when I hit the highway, at first, on the on ramp doing about 45-50 i'm like hmmmm is it stuck in 2nd? Downshift it, Revs way high, i'm like oh god no, it's got 4.11's in the back with a C6

Brakes feel good, but I find the pedal abit soft, it's like in my F250 pretty much. Motorhome brakes are right at the top of the pedal. This van goes down abit before starts braking.

AM radio works great

Anyways I won't get into details here, I'll post a thread tomororw with some daylight pics.

ah,she needs some hwy gears.toss an axle with 3:08's under her and rip out half the leafs per side and she'll be a cruiser.i wonder what axle would be hd enough for it that had some good high gears.at the very least another full floater with 3.55's,but that's still kinda down there for the old 1:1/non lockup beast.too bad them GV units are so pricey.oh have greywynd keep his eyes open for ya! man that guy can find deals like nobody!

But wow does she ever rip off the line tho with a C6 and 4.11's! it's quicker off the line than the F150!

Man you have room for some massive speaker boxes in there, you can put you some of them 36 inch tweeters and woofers all that good stuff. Then you can just crank the stereo up and that bondo will just fall right off. lol
