I am in the process of doing an EGR upgrade and STC upgrade. I purchased my truck new and I have never been this far into it. I noticed several things missing like a turbo pedestal bolt, loose manifold to up pipe bolts and there is no heat shield on the IPR.

My question is regarding the IPR. Shouldn't it have the shield?

My hat's off to folks that work on these trucks. Getting to this point has been quite a challenge.

 

Most vehicles Iv worked on were a challenge the first time Always come to that one bolt How am I gona get that Bolt out?? OMG need a special wrench or something Always

 

2006 and up do not have the sheild. they were deleted.

I finished the STC upgrade and buttoned the HPOP up. Tomorrow I do the EGR upgrade and pray she cranks.
