cleaned the MAF and IAC and she runs alot better! man they were so dirty! then washed and detailed the interior. attempting to get rid of the horrible stench of pot. i think i got a contact high just driving it. got most of it out another round it should be good.

oh and i got a pic of the 3 together.

Nice Trio

I think that is one of the rarer color combinations you could get from ford. Your lucky yours already has the 4x4 shifter on the floor

i installed my new headlights, also a 55w HID kit and some white LEDs. i think it adds to the look of the front end alot! i need a drivers side bezel for the headlight though mine is broke.

i know i need daylight pics but i detailed the interior and it looks soooo much better!

Those lights look great. Did they come with glass housings (HID's will melt plastic). Did you install some relays to trigger those HID's? The factory headlight circuit won't handle those for very long if you run it off the factory wiring. Not trying to question your handywork, just don't want to lose all your external lighting going down the highway at night.

Did you get headlights in Anchorage or online? Haven't found a decent shipping rate from online places yet. I'm ready to ditch my amber running lights for some clears.

the HID kits are the same as i run in my expedition and excursion and i ran in my explorer for over 6 years in plastic housings with no issues. HIDs actually produce less heat they regular halogen bulbs. also they are hi/low bulbs that move in the housing to create high and low beams so they come with there own relay harness. i've been using HIDs in everything i own since 2004 so i've figured out what works and what doesnt.

i use kits off ebay, $79 shipped for 55W the hi/low kits (NOT the cheap *** halogen piggyback type) also bought the headlights off ebay, shipping was a extra $20 but oh well.

we have our '76 chevy corvette and '56 chevy bel-air conv under the covers in the garage.

this is how we work it in the winter. my dads explorer and my excursion on the left and the old cars on the right.

Wow. Simply amazing. That is one nice Bronco for the price. Love the pics. Sure looks like a very tight squeeze there in the garage I like the improvements you have made with the lights. I even like the lights above the windshield in that duck bill thing. I agree that the Bronco is right at home in Alaska. I just got mine today, and can't wait to take it off road somewhere.

good lookin bronco, I just picked up a 95 today. I dont mean to hijack your thread, but I was just wondering why the post against using a fram oil filter. I have seen a post on another site rip fram but no reason as to why. I always though they were decent filters. So whats the deal with fram?

I think no one likes frams because the quality is crap. I think the only one I would put in my truck is the tough guard from fram....

Stick with the OE or if you have some money go with the K&N

You can find more info around here if you do a search, but our engines need an anti-drainback valve in the oil filter since it attatches to the side of the engine. Fram uses a peice of rubber-coated card board which fails, combined with a filter element that is less than half that of the motorcraft. Using a cheap filter usually results in your engine tapping on first startup in the morining since all the oil has returned to the pan.

Does all of that count in a 78 400m? Eventually i need to drop my pan and hopefully not have a rear main seal leak but i can only hope, i think i usually get whatever is cheapest at walmart in terms of filters but now that i make my own money and can afford the better stuff i will consider it when i decide to not be lazy and do an oil change...
