How Deep Do I Go?
Truck has Following mods: Sinister EGR Delete, MBRP 4" turbo back cat/muff delete, Blue Pressure Spring, Sinister coolant Filter.
Truck Needs an oil cooler replaced. we are getting EOT vs ECT average of 10 unloaded and 20 towing. My head gaskets are good. We tow 10k weekly. This is getting long winded but i am dead locked in my head. i want a tuner. I am scared to tune with out studs. I am thinking to replace headgaskets and studs while the shop is doing the oil cooler. Am i Crazy? i dont want to spent the 2k plus that this will cost extra but i dont want to be right back in there in 3 months. If i go that deep what else should i do while the cab is off? Would like to look into aftermarket fuel system in future with bigger injectors.
Also i am going to bring up the tuner question. have talked to Spartan diesel about tuners and they said they are not doing 6.0l tunes for 3 to 5 months. am thinking about going with the SCT Live wire with egt probe. and have River City Diesel custom Tunes. Any Suggestions ? Want something that will monitor EGT's would like something that will monitor Fuel Pressure also.

FWIW you should tow as close to stock as possible
