How have you guys mounted your mudflaps? I don't want to put holes in my wheel well "lip" in order to mount them and have thought of fabricating an "L" shaped bar; mounting the short part of the "L" to the frame and using the long part as a mount for the mudflap. The long part of the "L" would come out at a 90 degree angle from the frame. Make sense? Any ideas would be great. Thanks!
They are a thick rubber mudflap measuring about 18" by 12."
Thanks!
They are similar to yours but instead of mounting the rear ones on the bumper I want to mount them in the fenderwell area to keep crud and rocks from hitting the rocker panels and paint.
Please Look again, mine aren't mounted on the bumper.
I mounted mine behind the wheels just back of the wheelwell.
That's why I asked which Mudflaps you wanted to use.
I used a piece of 1 1/2" angle iron and anhored them with a 3" blot on the outside & the frame on the inside.
I designed this mount myself because those mounted on the bumper Look ****absolutely Ghastly*****..
Ooops, sorry. I have a hard time telling in the pics but when I looked at different angles I can at least see they are not mounted to the bumper. Did you mount one end of the angle iron to the body and the other end to the side of the frame? Did you bend the iron to make it mount?
