Hi, I was quote 52 dollars for an oil filter at the Ford Stealer. Does anyone tried a different brand? I have one in my hand but it has another piece that you have to add, so it was ot made for my truck obviously. Can we have some issues with it?
It is probably shorter since I have to put an extra piece.
Absolutely do not use that filter. It's a recipe for disaster. Motorcraft at Walmart approx. 20 bucks and the Fram is about two bucks cheaper. Never use a/m with adapters on the 6.0.
Thanks, i will check at wallmart for the Fram. We really get ripped off in Canada. Diesel filter online charge me 24 dollars for shipping alone, so that will be 18 plus 24= 42 dollars, so this will be out of the question.
I hope they have the Fram at Wally. May be I can find some online.
I can get 6 Fram CH 9549 filters from e bay for 100 dollars shipped to my door. Are these filters good for sure? This would be 16 dollars a piece, much much cheaper than my Stealer at 54 dollar a piece, what a ripp off, this is just tooooo f... frustrating.

The Fram filter is a repackaged Racor filter just like the Motorcraft filter
I think he mentioned dieselfiltersonline is charging him $24 alone in shipping.
More filters at a time instead of the one...volume sells. The Racors at Diesel Filter Online are $14 a piece, the shipping will be the same for 9 of them (case quanity). There is nothing better for the truck at a better price than Racor filters...IMHO
