I"m thinking about building a remoted mount turbo set up. Will the stock rods in my 400 hold up to 6 to 8lbs of boost? the engine has been bored .030 over with stock style pistons (dished) and has an RV cam in it. I have a weind intake and a Holley 600 cfm carb with vaccum secondaries. Will this setup work?

Be ready to pay for some dyno time. It's the only way to set it up correctly. I've had to re do homemade turbo setups because people thought they could do it in the parking lot of their apartments. Your air fuel mixture has to be just right or you'll burn excess fuel, or flat out burn up your motor. I'm not saying don't do it, just plan on finding a local shop with a chassis dyno to dial it in after you install it.
