Pulling the harness out... stuck... help?
i've got an 87 f150 4x4 with the 300 i6 and c6 auto. i'm pulling the harness out because i've had it with the intermittent stumbly take offs and the intermittent misfires. the harness wraps around the back side of the block, and it has one lone wire with a o2 sensor wire style wrapping around it and it bolts to a sensor on the passenger's side of the block or head. the wire spins around, but it doesn't feel like it has any nut holding it on. i tried giving it a light tug, but no dice, won't come off of whatever it's on. it's on the passenger's side of the motor, towards the firewall. it points toward the passenger's side of the truck.
does anyone know what this sensor is? i need to get the wire off it to get the harness out for repair/cleaning.

found out what it was. coolant temp sensor for the gauge in the dash. just snipped the wire because i got angry enough at it (and i tried damn near everything). harness is out.
