4-speed to Auto Project
Hello everyone, I have my 1972 f100 4X4 , that I drive everyday, it currently has 390 with four speed manual and the chain type transfer case and there are some sharp guys on this site and was looking for the best way and equipment to change my truck to Automatic trans with the NP205 transfer (i guess) . was thinking of finding a donor truck with big block 4X4 , will 73 to 79 f100,f250, both work? Anyone with advice on this process will be greatly appreciated. I plan to put a larger big block in the truck later (I like messing with the tuners and pretend hotrods around here!). What will hold up under modified big block better and make the conversion better. Thanks Gordon
