Odyssey minivan or Conversion van
"Have owned Toyota Previa and Chevy Venture minivan before.
Current vehicle - Volvo V90 station-wagon (7-seater). H+W + 2 kids (13 and 5), and occasionally Mother-in-Law. I think I want to get a bigger vehicle. To be used for highway vacation travel (about 90%). Cargo about 300-400 lbs. Plus 4 bicycles. All cargo and bicycles to be outside.
I am looking for more space. I am not sure if Odyssey is spacious enough. Yes, I know, most of you would laugh at this, but in comparison to 2 full-size Ford conversion vans (high-tops) I have also owned, minivans do seem kinda "not-enough space" to me.
I also know that Odyssey does not offer full-recline 3rd seat, which is nice on long trips. I also know that Ody averages about 22-25 mpg on the highway, as opposed to my vans of 14 mpg.
Wife + 13-year old do not like the ice-cream truck-looking Full-Size vans. But they sure do like traveling on one."
So am I looking at any small / big differences in room, space, headroom, between the Odyssey and high-top Ford conversion vans?
