Going under the valve covers

Hi all,

I am a little ADD and every time I do the search for the 50cent mod I spend an hour or two looking at all the other posts that pertain to my truck. Great info, but TMI !!
What is the direct link to the 50cent mod, Please?

Thanks,
Tom.

Perfect. Thank you, and now I can go back to acronym school. I noticed UVCH a lot but didn't snap!
After watching the several pages of DemonRace6's issues with noise (which I have also), I am a little aprehensive, but it has made noise since I bought it (10k ago), and doesn't miss, at least not bad, so we will see this weekend.
Thanks again, great video. And torque specs.
Tom.

If you have an in/lb torque wrench use it for the injector hold downs. It should be more accurate.

If you have a late 2002 or 2003 you may have the upgraded UVCH harnesses and the quarter may not fit right In that case you just need to cut more material off the quarter.

Thanks for the note. Yes I do have inch lb torque wrench, but my truck is a Jan '01 build.
But nice to know in case the quarter didn't fit.
I am guessing the valve cover gaskets are re-usable? From the pictures they look like o-rings?

Start it up with the VC's off and take a look and make sure everything looks ok. It is also a good way to make sure you plugged everything in before it is all back together.

Off tread, where to get a in/lbs tork wrench. I can't find on. I checked Sears, and other places and knowbody carries them. Thanks a head of time,

Chet

I would agree Sears should, or a good auto parts house. The inch lbs is more accurate for smaller numbers, but a lot of 3/8 drive go as low as 5 lbs ft. I have always had access to Snap On or Matco.

Thanks a bunch for that extra note. I will double check the pins when I take the vc off tomorrow.
