Feedback carb question

I was out tinkering with my truck today and noticed the chock wasn't opening all the way. It wasn't real bad but was sticking a little. So got the carb cleaner and sprayed around the chock and linkage area. Fix the sticking and it opens all the way now but while I was cleaning it I noticed that every time I sprayed the back of the chock housing it would almost die. I'm sure I wasn't getting enough in the carb to be causing it but couldn't see any vacuum lines or ports that could be causing it in that area. Any one have an idea what would cause this?

There is a passage from the inside of the choke housing into the manifold. This allows manifold vacuum to pull a little air through the hot air tube and across the bimetal spring in the choke housing. If your choke housing is cracked or is leaking, it will suck some of the carb cleaner into the manifold.

That makes sense. I had the chock housing loose to work and adjust the chock while I was spraying it. So maybe it got in that way, never tried it after I tightened it back up.
