Have a 98 F150 4 x 4 with 5.4L , 175k mi.....
Anyone have a really good quality Mfg. reccomendation for new radiator ?
Is the OEM a 2 row radiator - what does that mean ? Are aftermarket radiators good enough quality to replace OEM ?
Thanks for any help ....
Last I had done work with radiators, I found that almost all were made in Canada.
The stock OEM part is usually a single row.
I replaced mine with a 2 row for increased cooling for towing heavey loads.
A look at the overall length and width shows it is a large area and cools well for even a single row.
Beyond this, a source with a brand name should be fine and with a warrenty.
I found that as an individual, buying anything from Canada is a difficult thing to do.
Companies here import in quanity so the deal is quite different for them.
I got my unit from Rock Auto but you will have to look at their website to see what they may have, now.
Good luck.
Thanks Bluegrass........I'll do some shopping around for an aftermarket one ......Amazon usually has a good selection .....maybe actually call their store to get some more info on the product etc.
