dist probs
i have a 74 F100 with a 390 in it it had the dura spark 1 in it when i got the truck that igniton never quiet worked right so i dropped a Mallory 2 point in it been running this for a few years its a better but still not running like it i would like it to was wondering if any one had any suggestions as to a better igniton system that isnt supper expensive or a was to up grade the dura spark 1 which i still have all the parts for

Duraspark is a great system and there are no performance gains on a stock engine by running anything else. The right way to approach this problem is to understand why the engine wasn't running properly with the original ignition system in the first place. Otherwise, you're going to retain the same underlying problem that's going to give you issues no matter how much money you throw at it.
