Pretty decent prices from Eaton. Less than 500 shipped is good.
But what is the difference between the 5/3's and 9's other than the load weight? I see different numbers on the rate, and Im assuming 5/3's are 8 leaves total?
I have the 4+1 leafs with the -3" drop in my 65'. I also have the 3" drop I-Beams in front. The reason I went with the 4+1 in the rear is because I wanted the softer ride. To compensate for the load capacity, I installed 2500 pound 'AirLift' airbags with the cab mounted controller. The air pump for the bags is mounted on the frame under the driver's side of the cab. The ride is wonderful empty and still gives me the capacity to carry a little more weight. For the heavy loads of garbage that I take to the dump, I have an old Chevy truck.
If I put the 4+1 on my 66 will it lower the rear because I already have a 3 inch in the front and 4 inch in the rear lowering kit so I don't think I can lower the front anymore to level it back out if putting the 4+1 springs on the rear lowers it to much
I went with (4/1) part number ML 2041 and 2"drop. Now $308 EACH.
I was replacing worn out 5/1 springs and was afraid if I bought stock ride height it would actually raise my truck back up. With lighter duty spring pack and 2"drop it lowered my truck 1".
