AE Set Up?

E99 F350

Ok, I bought one with the Ford program.

Now what do I do?

I need to run the contribution test in order to find out which of my injectors in working poorly.

I have a continuous miss at low rpm.

Help!

I AM STILL READING THE INSTRUCTION BOOK AND TRYING TO FIGURE MY NEW AE OUT. FIRST TRIP THROUGH THE BOOK WAS A LITTLE CONFUSING.

Also, Check out this AE Set-up Article. IT will make working through AE a little easier to get it set-up correctly.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I dont think the e99 pcm will run a CC test
I'm thinking I read that somewhere on here.

It will run contribution but not rotational velocity unless you have a later PCM swapped in.

Just for informational purposes, is the later PCM a direct swap on the E99 and not requiring any other modifications?

Information Book AE

Throw your information book away. It has nothing for non complient Ford diesels. It is confusing.

Just go to the on screen menu and click on the on board testing tab.

Thanks Clay, I knew there was something that the e99 pcm wouldn't let AE do.

Yes, I swapped in a NVK5, I believe it's a 2000 PCM.
Truck idles better, (and sounds better at idle) and has better shift strategies that the XLE4 E99 pcm that I had previous.
The NVK & PMT's seem to be the popular PCM codes for an upgrade.
