Tranny system capacity
Just made the switch to synthetic tranny fluid.Iwas checking the work order from my mechanic and although he did change the filter and gasket,there was only 6qts. of fluid added.Isn't there a lot more in the system?And know I have a mix?

I'm sure all he did was drop the pan and then just fill it back up to the full mark when he was done. So, yes, you now have a mix. Depending on the tranny, you probably don't even have 50% synthetic.

Was going thru my Hayne's manuel and total cap. is 16+qts.(entire system).Is having a mix bad?I noticed some fluids sold are a blend of syn. and reg.Should I do the total purge of the sysyem like you can get at a Pep Boys type place?
