The cluch went out on this 93 Ranger so what did we do we put a new cluch in it but that is whare thinks went wrong after all the work of puting it in it wont start now. it turns over good but no fire. so we have checked the cluch sensor its good we had the ignition control tested and it is good but now we are lost as to what to look at next
please help!!!
yes there is power to both coil packs and from what i can find the coil packs seem to be good from my meter readings.
if you have power to both coils and the coils are fine you should be getting spark.........Only on side gets spark at startup.........................This would be the strangest of all coincidences but you should check to see that your timing belt did not break.......

May sound far-fetched or coincidental, but that's actually a good place to check. If the engine was turned backwards, the belt can slip or jump, and it's rather difficult to remove/replace the pressure plate bolts without the crank turning at least a little.
thanks guys but the timeing belt is fine and i think we have the $ to take it to some one that knows more than me but if there are anymore ideas thay would be appreciated
youre gonna take it in now??????????? dude you are on the 99th yard line...youre almost home.
i am wondering if you didnt leave something disconnected when you removed the battery terminals...assuming you did remove them.
I would slow your mind down and go over everything you did while taking the thing apart and putting together.Just kind of go through the motions and literally check everything no matter how small.
Are you sure its not getting a spark? Did you have any kind of a electrical arc maybe removing terminals or ..anything???? Somthing that would have got a fuse/relay etc??
Maybe recheck your connections at the ecm......maybe even move the harness around while someone is cranking it over to see if you get a spark.Might be a broken wire someplace.----------------good luck. I am very curious what the problem is.
