2014 F250 with 6.7L 36,000 miles and got this system fault message as well. Dealer reflashed the computer. Truck made it less than 100 miles and I get Exhaust Fluid Fault - speed limited to 50 miles per hour. Then it says "Idle soon check your Owners Manual". Well the truck is dead on a Sunday 2 hours away from home. DEF tank is not below half full and the local dealer should go get my truck back.

What a mess. My first Ford and probably my ..............

Picked my truck up from the dealer again and once again on the drive home the Exhaust Fluid Fault - Engine to Idle Soon message with the check engine light. So within 300 miles the message has come on 3 times, it has been to the dealer twice and needs to go back again today. Both dealers reflashed the computer, checked the DEF fluid and found to be good. The second dealer (yesterday) notes say P207F in memory and they did TSB 15-0008.

Any ideas on how to proceed with dealer, Ford, or what the problem is?

Get ford Customer service involved. They should be talking with the hotline about next steps.

Having the exact same issue with my 2014 F250 Kingranch. 28,000 miles. Message now saying" speed limited to 50 mph" "diesel fluid system fault. Going in tomorrow for service. Hoping they do something other than just clear the code. Truck runs out of warranty in February.

So i got my truck.back today. Ford says that my problems are all normal.. and that when you turn the defrost on,you also have to turn on the a/c. ? And my a/c compressor only turns on when they force it to come on via computer.. the ford machanic says its bull****! Service advisor says i shoildnt habe to deal with this on a truck that cost me so.much.. sales manager says a buyback needs to be initiated by customer not dealership.... now we are waiting for the dealership owner to come back from vacation... ugh... i told them this truck is not just a standard truck off the lot.. i waited 7 months for it to be built one month for it to be up fitted.. how am i going to work? Its not a pleasure vehicle for me. Literally the windows fog up so bad you only have 3 inches near the dash to.see out of the winshield. Side windows are all covered and water pours down the windows (condensation). I told them if i wreck the truck im suing ford and the dealership... the service manager agreed.. as it is right now, during a snow.storm its the most expensive yard truck ive ever owned! It can not be safely driven on the road.and thats when i need it the most for snow.plowing.. im so upset over this..

Error message and check engine light

My husband and I just bought our 250 last week from CarMax. Yesterday the check engine light came on. We called them and have an appt on Thursday to take it in. Today we got a message that said "In 50 miles speed limited to 50 mph exhaust fluid system fault" and obviously the dealership is closed for Easter. We just got this truck and I would be lying if I said I weren't pissed. Suggestions on what to do? We also have a newborn so not having a second vehicle would be almost impossible for us.

I guess you could try to fill it. But sounds like the PCM will have to be reset.

Autozone might be able to run the code and clear it.

Blue DEF is fine to fill it. So start with a full tank and reset, maybe that will do it.

Otherwise there maybe something wrong in the system.
