7.3 rail pressure

Hi
I have a 1997 7.3 turbo and I got some issues and I been told it could be due to the rail pressure so I got a gage and installed it now I need to know what the proper pressure should be

Does anyone know what the rail pressure should be at an idle cold and hot

and hot at 60 mph

Thankyou Kyle

they tell me there is two oil pumps and one has high pressure and one has low presure the one in question here today is the high pressure oil pumped into the rail.
While we on the subject what is the low pressure suspose to be I have a gage orded for that too.

the high pressure will be around 550-650psi at idle and going down the road its around1000psi +or- its hard to answer that question cause all truck are different.

What is the issue that you are having?

This weard nobody ever heard of what it is doing
after I change my oil and filter everything works NORMAL untill I get about 1000 to 1500 miles on new oil
Then the check engin light come on sometimes and does not leave a code
The biggest problem is when I shift into 3rd gear the motor hesatates and doesnot pull for SEVERAL SECONDS and when this happens I only have about 900 to a 1000 psi on the rail pressure and when it takes off and goes normal then the rale presuter is about 2500psi at 65 mph I have a 1997 f350 5 speed transmission why it does different going into 3rd gear and not the other gears nobody can explane

What kind of oil did you put in it ?

On the driver side head on the inside behind the AC compressor you will see a sensor with 3 wire going to it that is the ICP injection control pressure sensor. Unplug it and see if it make a difference
