what custom fabrications have you done?
I want to start this to find out what type of neat/cool mods and fabs people have made for their trucks. On mine, one the rear tail light trim pieces had a tear on one side, nearly all the way through. I soldered mine back together. The throttle linkage rod lost the retainer clip on it, so I super glued an aluminum arrow end on it. perfect fit. For my cd player, I bent the original radio bracket and zip tied my radio to the bracket to stay held up. For a speaker box for (2) 10 inch subwoofers, I used 3/4 in. and 5/8 in. plywood. Made it 8 inches deep, 4 feet long, 16 1/2 in. tall.

I made a center console a while back. Needed a place to put my coffee Used 3/4 mdf and covered it in vinyl. Made molds to glass the cupholders and tray, which is removable to access the space inside the console. My cousin who works at BestBuy hooked me up with 2 4x10 Kickers for $40 and I added those.
Also made an overhead console for switches and other sundries. Made labels and backlit them.

I like that console, but I don't have enough room really, I am gonna make a switch panel like that to hold two switches( as of right now) one for back up lights(my Neutral safety switch doesn't have the tab on the shift tube) and one for the ignition wire from the NSS. and I don't want to change mine to 4x4, but I do want to add axle blocks just to raise it 3" in the rear for a more aggressive stance.

I make pretty much everything on my trucks.
TONS of pics can be seen in my photobucket albums for my trucks

My fabrication will be using sheet metal to construct my new dash panels. All new aftermarket wiring harness along with new switches to work the lights/wipers etc. I will be adding a CD/FM player, speakers and new heater controls as well. I haven't yet decided yet what else I can play with but I do plan on adding carpet through out the entire cab, maybe the doors to. Still deciding on buckets w/ a third seat or a bench seat.

Like devino246, I am also working on a overhead console. Right now I have a test made out of wood, but I will probably cast one out of fiberglass. It will house toggles and map lights, with a double or triple gauge pod on the front, depending on how wide I make it. I'm also in the planning stage of a new headliner wrapped in vinyl

Sorry about the pic size, for some reason I could not resize them. The picture above is a braket for a york air compressor and a 3g alternator. I wanted to run both on board air, and a/c so I build the brackets to accommodate this. If it looks a little cattywompas, that because it is..., but I have it installed in the truck now and painted and you can't cannot tell it at all. I do not have a current picture unfortunately.
The below is a picture of a window crank. The splines were stripped on the regulator, so I welded a to the regulator shaft and used a stubby import wrench (about the only thing they are good for) and turned a wooden bushing to free spin on a bolt threaded to a nut, welded in the end of the open in wrench.
Sound complicated, but a picture is worth a thousand words so:
well this computer is acting funny, so I'll post it in a minute..
