Yup says right on the carton made in china. I still put it in and so far (30miles on it) things are going fine. I looked on line and the problems seemed to be with Jeeps and billit cams wearing out the cam gears. We have steel cams, I did ck the gear fit for over size dizzy gear, had up and down movement on the rotor so the gears seem to be fitting ok. I haven't regapped the plugs to .045 yet but with .030 it fired with out setting the choke this is a good thing, never fired like that before. I hope it continues along this line and no problems pop up.

Good luck, hope it lasts a long time! I'd say don't be dissuaded by the "made in China" sticker; after all what's NOT made in China? If you go into Autozone and get a replacement distributor for an old 390 engine, it was either made in China or manufactured in India anyway!
well i said screw it and ordered the procomp dizzy too , just installed it today fired right up and revs much smoother , i think my factory dizzy was having issues . while i was at it i gapped my plugs to .44 and did a compression test to see where the new motor was
got 165-155 out of all cylinders.
I did say before that I used dura spark and had good luck with it in an AMC. The only one that gave me trouble was in my 68 f250 302 from an 83 van, and it started problems in 98, ran good till then. I now have one in a 64 sunbeam alpine with a 2.8 v6 and does good so far, but I will get a second box to be safe. Just as I have a spare electric fuel pump, it went bad on me in two weeks, left me on the road so I learned a bit on that one. As we all know it's not if they go out it's when, and seems at the most inopportune time.
