welding and electronics

I want to do some welding on my class III frame hitch to connect it to the bumper. If I disconnect the batteries will all the electronic goods be safe? This would be arc welding on a 1995 F250 Powerstroke. Thanks in advance.

Keep the ground near the Weld area and you'll be fine. Keep a fire extinguisher handy and check your progress and work area often.
I've had a few flameups welding in tight areas -- oil and grime ignited -- didn't notice till I pulled away to check work.
