Box side tearing
has anyone elses box started to tear at the front stake pockets?
mine has on both sides and i was wondering if anyone knew how to stop it from tearing?

Ive seen a couple of dodge trucks tear in this area. Its a pretty high stress point for the sheet metal and if you use the stake pockets alot, makes it worse. My Suggestion would be to weld the tears up.

Box side tearing
Do you happen to have a toolbox or anything like that, anything that sits on the bedrails instead of the floor of the bed?
At my work most toolboxes that sat on the bed rails were done away with because of the beds tearing. Mine still has this style of toolbox and the mechanics built supports under it to let the bed floor support the weight instead of the tin-foil-for-a-fender bed sides.
Something like that could help prevent further tearing.
