I just got a 91 Explorer with 4wd and obviously had to take it in the mud a little. I put it in 4wd and being stupid and inexperienced made some sharp turns with 4wd on. I could feel something not right when I did this, I presume the axle slipping? Where the car would sort of jolt sideways once about every second.
Afterwards, in 2wd just going straight there was a sort of clicking coming from the front end of the car. Now it just seems to do this clicking when I start moving from a stop. What have I done?! What can I do about it?
Any information or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
