Today my brother called to help pull a friends car out of a snowy ditch.
First off I want to say in 4x4 low my truck is an absolute bear. The torque is crazy
My brother got in my truck and moved it to a better position and I noticed when he hit the gas I got a little puff of blue smoke, each time he did it it would puff.
Truck still runs great, no codes, no problems.
Im still waiting for my ICP and fuel pressure sring(got a nasty snow storm so im sure ill be waiting)
Truck was fully warmed up and everything, drove it for about 2 hours before I helped him out.
Could it be my injector o rings? If it was a turbo seal, wouldn't the smoke go away after the truck has been running for a while?

Blue smoke means oil. To check the turbo seal for leakage open the downpipe and see if you have oil there. It will be evident and NO it won't go away with the truck running. It could also be your injector o-rings but the turbo is quicker to check.
Blue smoke could also be unburnt fuel in a cool combustion chamber.id guess in 4l you had some relatively high rpm's with no load that'll tend to cool a combustion chamber, causing a little blue smoke.I noticed mine smoke after I adjusted my catalytic converter.this is just my opinion, and I wouldn't worry to much about it.
Matter of fact.........no.I'm surprised at how much smoke it hid though.it didn't look all that restrictive, but I can definitely see a difference in how long it takes it to boost.since the adjustment its almost instantaneous.
