Hey fellas,
Know a couple of ya'll from the Diesel forums. Was surprised to find a few new things here like Andrew's front end fix. I have a 2003 E350 7.3L with about 153k on it and a 2004 E450 6.0L quigley 4x4. Andrew's fix wil be on the '03 soon as i can manage to show her some love. Hoping before xmas. Love these vehicles tho i gotta soften up the 450. , Richard
Do you think your 03 needs help? I had a 92 and it was totally necessary and helped out alot but my 02 is perfect, i really can't imagine the steering being much better. I figured this was something that had been fixed by 2000 or so.
Indeed welcome to FTE---one of the few sites where our vans are well represented!
Steering wise I run both '99 (140K miles) and a '00 E250 (256K miles) and they couldn't be more different---I'm sure its the mileage alone, not a design issue. I'm planning on replacing the steering box sometime soon as its the only part not yet refreshed. If that doesn't restore the steering feel then Andrew's fix will be installed ASAP after that.
86scotty,
maybe i wont need it after finish with other issues. drag link didnt fix my issues but think front end alignment is next. maybe that'll be it if your 02 is good. my only other is an 85 E150. getting ready to send to the crusher if u need anything.
