Hi guys, I have a 2000 F-250 with the automatic hubs. Over the last couple years I have had problems with them. Now they will not lock in at all, there is no vacuum on the lines.
I've never liked the idea of not being able to lock my hubs in manually so I'm going to change them out. It seems the Mile Marker hub 449SS will fit with a conversion kit. My question is, what is the conversion kit number I need? I've found some confliction information so I'd like to know for sure.
No conversion kit needed. Mile Markers site says you need an axle nut kit, but you don't. I put the same ones on mine, same year and all, worked great and I needed no other parts than the hubs themselves.
I ordered my hubs from Summit Racing Monday AM, they arrived last night. I installed them this morning , it took all of 10 minutes, no instalation kit needed. Now I four wheel drive again, this is the best $100 I've spent in a while.
