That could be true, but in my case, it's when you get too old and have brain farts, and can't remember the name so you ask your grandson what those 4 door trucks are called.
AFAIK, 1965/66 Crew Cabs never had body side mouldings.
Ford did not begin production of Crew Cabs until mid-year 1965. Early 1965's and previous years were all conversions (usually by Crown Coach) of Regular Cabs as were the Ford version.
Being as it has been discussed more than once in the past that the Master Parts Catalogue makes no mention of any Crew Cab specific parts, unless you have seen EVERY Slick crew made, how exactly would you know if any came with the side mouldings or not??
Despite being very low production, is it entirely inconceivable that someone would have ordered a Custom Cab with all the shiny bits??
But all that aside, when I spoke to one of the fellows at Carolina Classics back in approx Feb of 2017 about the Custom Cab Interior Door trim clips, and mentioned I had to track down enough for four doors because I had a crew, we got talking, and he mentioned that he had MADE the exterior Moulding(s) to fit the B pillar between the front & rear doors, as well as for the crew rear doors for a customer.
So weather any crews left the factory with the side mouldings or not, there are at least a couple out there with the side mouldings now..........
