I agree. Look around the net. Try to find some 08+ mirrors, if you like them. There are a few threads out there about conversions.

The conversion part would be a breeze, buying them is a different story! Some I have seen are over $800! Yowza!

What they said. I had a F350 6.0L with issues. It was used only about 6 days a month in nice weather to haul the big LQ horse trailer. Since no one could fix it (surged) and my wife did not like to drive it, We bought a smaller trailer (sort of) and found a great deal on 2006 Lariat F250 V10. Loaded. We both love it. I pull a 24ft BP LQ 2 Horse trailer. Loaded weight - combined - is around 18000 to 19000lbs. Pulls and stops great. Crap mileage like 8.5mpg loaded. I run the 5 Star 97 tow tune. If I go w/o the trailer I run the 97 Econ. can get close to 12 if I keep off the pedal. Its a big engine takes gas to pull. Gas is 2.99 now. Diesel is $3.50 and up. Cost of maintenance way less then the 6.0. No issues at all but it only has 36500 miles. We are actually taking more trips now since the truck runs great. No way would I get a 6.0 D again. Only option might be the new Ford diesel but then I dont have $60K to buy a rig and let it sit 20 days a month

Diesel is a full dollar more than gas right now here where I am.

That truck will last forever and will pull a house off its foundation if you want it to. I consider the mpg to be a convenience fee well worth paying IMO.

Very rare that it didn't come with tow mirrors...

Scored a new passengerside tow mirror here after my old one met a street pole

I couldn't remember if it had them or not & was a little bummed to see that it didn't. Oh well, not a huge deal....

When the time comes, if you'd like to sell the passenger's side mirror (assuming it's power and in top condition) I'd be interested in buying it. I caught mine on the garage a few weeks ago and while it's not broken, the plastic does have a crack and I like them better. Anyway, keep me in mind!

Nice truck! Good luck with it, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it! I got mine new in 2002 (crew cab 4X4 V10 Lariat) and still love it!
