Alright I've been searching the web and this site trying to find my answer so bare with me if I have missed something.
What I want to do is get a new set of wheels and tires. It has always bugged me that these trucks look so narrow at the bottom. I'm wanting to get wheels with a negative offset to get them out of the truck a little.
The setup I like is the XD addict wheels 18x9 with a -12 offset. On those I'd like a slightly taller tire. I'm hoping a 295 70 18 Nitto trail grappler. The tires are 34" tall and 12" wide.
With the wheels out of the truck further, would I have trouble fitting without rubbing on the fender or bumper? I understand you can fit 35's on this truck but just not sure with the offset/wider tire. Anyone with a negative offset setup or tire/wheel expertise please soundoff. BTW I have a completely stock truck and dont want to lift it cause I use it. Just want a slightly more aggressive look. Thanks ahead of time.
Yeah I dont want to go too small and hate the tires for 2 years. And I dont want to get a tire too big that will require a lift right away. I believe the set up I'm looking at will fit no problem. It always helps to have reassurance when $2k+ is involved. I found a guy on ebay that is operating out of cincy, so I'm working with him on getting them so I can just pick them up and support local business. I think I'm gettting a decent deal at just over $2k out the door.
Well I have seen every truck on the internet and have decided that what I'm planning will work so I'm ordering them tomorrow morning. I hope to have them bolted up before next weekend so, we'll see. Thanks again for your follow up will bite great name BTW. Will post pics when install is complete.
