I have a 2008 f350 with the v10. Where exaclty is the maf, I just got this pickup and it has 54000 miles on it and havent even had a chance to look things over under the hood. I have cleaned the maf before and I have found them in the tube between the air filter and the intake. Also should I clean mine with only 54000 miles on it, I suspose it couldnt hurt.
The E-series still uses the 2V V10 and a different intake system than the V10s in the F-series. Just look for a wire going to the intake tube near the back of the air filter housing.

On the air intake hose between the air box and the throttle body just above the filter box, look for the screwed in thing with wires and that's it. Unscrew it, pull it out carefully, spray to clean it and put back.
On my Airaid intake system, I just took of the filter and sprayed the MAF with the tube insert. Seemed to clean it quite well. I did immediately notice my idle speed dropped about 200, which was a little high at 850 si now it's just right.
So stupid question for this post...lots of mentions of spraying the MAF...and in other posts they mention MAF cleaner. This an official Ford product, or what exact chemical concoction are folks using?
You read the MSDS sheet on that stuff? Wow...going to use a respirator, latex gloves, a face shield and a tyvek jumpsuit when applying. That and having a fire extinguisher or the neighborhood fire truck and hazmat crew on hand.

Well, one wouldn't expect a bunch of folks who drive V-10s to be too picky about the environment, right?
Or then again, maybe we do care a little more...sure is a shame CAFE regulations killed the Ford V-10 in the new F250s and 350s. Honestly I think, as crazy as it sounds, the V-10 is the more efficient and thus environmentally friendly engine for those that haul big loads.
