I had a fuse blow on my E99 F350 PSD that turned out to be #30 and a 30 amp unit. It disabled my truck.
I unplugged the fuel bowl heater and replaced the fuse. Truck ran fine.
Now, while rebuilding my fuel bowl I see that the heating element in the bowl has come adrift. So I removed it from within the bowl and not having a replacement on hand left it out. It is still unplugged on the outside.
Now I read that this is also my water-in-fuel element.
Does leaving the external plug undone mean I no longer have water-in-fuel sensing?
The question is, should I buy a new heating element and reinstall it, or can I just forget the whole thing.
I see that Riffraff has heating element for sale ane I am about to order some other parts from them.
