I have noticed that a slight squeak/squeal has developed somewhere in my steering. It can only be heard on the inside of the truck when I turn the wheel left and right. I haven't been paying too much attention to it but I don't want it to get worse.... Anybody know what it might be???????
hey you own a ford, all ford trucks do that its probably your power steering, check the fluid level in there first and see if that helps. if thats not the solution, you might have a bad power steering pump. hope this helps!
Does it sound more high pitched or is it kinda like a constant running noise when you turn hard? Fords are known for terrible power steering pumps. In fact, last year mine was leaking so bad i went through about 1 quart of fluid a week for about 2 or 3 weeks. About the time I was gonna fix it, the leak stopped just as fast as it had came, and completely. It hasn't leaked a drop since, or made that funny noise.
Umm...Its a really high pitched squeak. It developed last winter when it got really cold and I didn't think anything of it. I don't think I have a leak but I am gonna check if its filled up enough after I get off work. By the way...nice truck Gamehunter
