Reliability Report

We are a diverse group of people with varied experiences and opinions about our vehicles. I just thought that I would share with you all an article in yahoo about vehicle reliability. The 3/4 ton vehicle are "plagued" with issues with the exception of Ford's turbo diesel F-250.

Just thought I would share some positive news!

What I took away from that is that Ford's overall quality sucks. But they were not alone as GM/Chevy seemed pretty bad too. They did say Ford overall dropped form 10th all the way to 20th, just goes to show that Ford's job #1 is profits NOT quality.

You surely wouldn't know it by their stock value or the amount of dividends they've paid in the last 5 years.

I learned a long long time ago that, don't believe nothing you read, and half of what you see.

Thanks for sharing this link. I enjoy getting multiple perspectives on our trucks and the others that are out there. So far I am very happy with my truck!

Not real sure how you came to that conclusion. The problems reported we're mostly for MyFordTouch, which is an industry leading technology that NOBODY has equaled yet. Sometimes new things have issues...how could you conclude that they don't care about quality?

From my conversations with someone in Ford's service engineering department your thoughts couldn't be further from the truth.

You did for sure, didn't mean to put it down for that. I just had to read a few paragraphs to get down to it, my first thought was "where is the good part?". It's just a sad reality of American automakers overall, but Ford keeps claiming quality is Job #1 and I just don't believe it. I bleed blue BTW, this is my 4th brand new truck from Ford but my best, trouble free truck ever was my 1992. 170,000 miles and 7 years and the only thing changed was battery (after 5 years) brakes, oils and other fluids.
