Yes, I think the points may need to be adjusted, but im not sure. Im not good with those.

Pull your dist cap off and rotor, bump the starter with the key until the points arm comes to rest on one of the dist shaft lobes (high spots). Then loosen the points hold down screws and push the points closer to the lobe to increase the point gap. Correct gap is .017 with a feeler gauge (they come as a set of blades). Put the .017 feeler gauge between the points contacts, into the gap, and use your thumb to snug the points up tight to the feeler gauge. Then tighten down the hold down screws...takes a try or three to get the hang of this so that the gap doesn't change when you remove the feeler blade/gauge. I like to just barely loosen one of the points hold down screws, and use it as a swivel point when I set the gap...then snug down the screw closest to the points contacts...then tighten the other, barely loose screw. Make sure your feeler blade/gauge is clean...I always clean mine with carb cleaner first.

Got the points set up perfect. Found a crossed wire, im firing now, just gotta get it correctly in time now.
