You can take your DPF off and take it and have it cleaned. Call some of your local diesel shops that deal with big trucks. They have to take theirs off about every 250k to have them cleaned. I was looking into it before I decided to do the delete.
Guess the dealership is making the mechanic take the cab off... Because the cab is on the lift at the moment. When I get the papers when its done I'll be able to tell exactly what they changed.
Just got my truck back this morning, they changed all the O-rings on the radiator, Changed the EGR valve, changed the oil cooler, changed the thermostats on the radiator, and performed a oil system flush and put new oil in the truck. I did not have to pay one red cent. They did pull the cab off the mech said he did this so everything would be easier to get to everything.
So, I got the check engine light on my 2008 F350 with the 6.4L. The code reads Exhaust Temperature Sensor error side 1 bank 2. Every time I have the trouble codes cleared, I drive the truck somewhere and shut it off. When I start it back up, the same trouble code pops up. I have replaced 2 of the 3 Exhaust Temperature sensors, I took it to the dealer and had it "reprogrammed" and the same trouble code popped again. They cleared the code and said my DPF may be clogged and to take it on a long drive (basically what everyone else with this problem is saying) and the person said if they replace the system it's going to cost around $3000. So, I've got to ask, is there anyway to clean the damn filter or a way to get around the stupid "cleaning exhaust filter" crap? This is driving me crazy, I want to get the thing fixed but I don't have $3000. Any advice would be helpful. TIA

soak it for an hour in 5 gallons of Berrys carb cleaner in a tall round kitchen trash can . then pour a gallon of fuel thru it. the berrys will look like tar but the DPF will be clean.
use gloves and do not get any of the dirty berrys on you skin......once contaminated with exhaust carbon....the solvent is very cancerous
