Tranny Error Codes
When any of you started experiencing tranny problems, did you get any specific error codes? My E40D converter has gone bad, and I used the jumper wire to see what error codes were on my computer. I didn't get any tranny related codes and I don't know why.

Tranny Error Codes
When my 94 E4OD was starting to go bad, torque shudder and intermittent harsh shifting. I go no codes either. the tranny shop recommended a rebuild which I did have done since I tow a fair amount and did not want to let the tranny self destruct over time.
I am not sure what would set the error codes unless it was a dead component or a sensor that got triggered. Like I said, I got no codes event though I knew something was starting to go wrong.
The key to detecting a problem early, is to check the fluid for color and smell and maybe drop the pan to inspect for particles.
