I had a nasty surprise today. I was hooking up to my trailer with my '01 F150 and the brakes went "...pop..." and the pedal fell to the floor!
Many pumps, and nothing. I knew, of course, that I'd blown a hose and I'd have fluid all over a wheel or leaking badly somewhere.
I've looked at every connection and fitting, and there are no leaks anywhere.
I pumped it probably 100 times and there is simply no response at all. Just the usual quiet "whoosh" from the booster, but otherwise it's like the pedal isn't even hooked up to the master cylinder.
So I'm thinking there's either something majorly wrong with the booster, or with the M/C.
There WAS a leak. Had been for a while, looks like. Back up beside the fuel tank. My "pop" of today was the M/C finally dropping far enough to lose prime.
