78 - 2150 carb.
i have a 2150 carb, on my 78 400m and its out of wack bad, needs tuned, but i dont know where to even start and how to do it, can anyone help me i know u turn the two skurs on the bottom of the carb. but i have no clue on which one is the air and which one is the fuel and how much to turn them in or out, any help would be great thanks.

Duran, both screws are called "idle mixture adjustment" screws. Turn them both in clockwise, untill they bottom out. Then turn them both out about 2 1/4 turns. This is a starting point, and they can be fine tuned from there. If you have a vacuum gauge, adjust them for the highest vacuum at idle. If you don't have a gauge, just adjust them for the highest idle rpm. (Make sure the turns are the same on each screw). After that, you may have to adjust the idle speed screw, which is on the throttle linkage.
You should also have an idle solenoid on the front driver's side of the carb. If so, try adjusting the idle speed there.
