I get about 12-14 In town. 16-18 hwy. I just made a 280 mile trip / 16 gallons of fuel which I topped off on arrival = about 17.5 mpg. (I drove 7/8 of the way with tail gate down

I get about the same. I don't buy into the tailgate up/down vs. mpg but I do have a fiberglass tonneau.

I track my mpg more for truck health than I do numbers. At 7760lbs (full tank, empty bed, no driver) and the sleek wind profile of a brick I didn't buy my land yacht for fuel economy.

With 285K on the ticker I use all available resources to ensure the Moose is running as close to 100% as I can get it.

I was getting 9 mpg. I doubled my air dam and then got 10 mpg. But then, I had front tire blow out and the tread flap tore off my lower air dam, and now I'm back to 9 mpg again.

I seem to remember seeing you post about doubling the dam, but can't remember... can you point me to the thread so I can get reminded of exactly how you managed that?

NEVER MIND... I found the thread and have posted a link here for anyone else who's curiosity might get peaked by your post.

F250 short bed 4wd manual hubs napa 6637(i think) intake, straight piped 3in axle dump, keep it under 2k for the most part(gps says 2k is 70 mph) we believe it to be 3.73 gearing, according to the torque app and my actual calculations i was getting about 23 (torque said 23.5 i got Roughly 22) this is driving to and in Philadelphia (so combine) I have not done the calculations within the past month or 2 though
