Best engine simulator program???
I've gotten to the point where I need something that factors in volumetric efficiency, and accurate flow data, not just flat mathematical compression ratio.
Which dyno simulator program should I get? I'm veeeery technical, I won't be happy with something that rounds for me, makes decisions that it thinks are better, instead of just giving me the flat data, stuff like that.
What do you guys like? What are the costs of the various programs?
Thanks for any advice, AleX
its not the greatest, but its better than a simple calculation.
here is a screen shot of one for my capri's 302.

there is another that is alot more in depth and accurate, but i will have to look around to find its name (it was in my old bookmarks from before my computer crashed)
EDIT: the other is engine analyzer at
http://www.auto-ware.com/software/softwareindex.htm
and ranges from to $110 for the basic version (about the same inputs as desktop dyno) to $500 that will even calculate port velocity and piston accelleration in G's. best part about the $500 pro is that it lets you enter ignition timing rather than figuring off of "optimum spark timing"
