Question Stainless Step Rails

Okay... I've got a little money and I'm thinking stainless step bars.

Oh yeah... I'm just about to get my '99 PSD Supercab in Wedgewood Blue. I think Stainless Step Rails would look great.

Question... what did you guys get, why, and what problems have you had? I live in Ontario where they use a ton of salt in the winter, so I'm concerned about pitting/oxidation in the winter.

Looking for the consensus of the group.

I have the MAAP stainless steel nerf bars. They cost about $360. I like them because they are pollished stainless instead of chromed stainless like the Westins which cost more. Haven't had any problems so far.

I just mounted a set of Westin Platinums on my '00 F350 CC. They are stainless steel w/ the chrome plating. Lifetime guarantee against rust. This was the main reason I bought them. Was able to pick them up for $347 through the shop who did my window tinting. He said the supplies said they were frame mount, which they are not. Frame mount was one of my requirements in a pair but as I did not want to contend w/ rust at all, I will keep them. I'm thinking maybe down the road going to a fab shop and seeing what can be done to create a mount for them to the frame. Shouldn't be to hard as the bars mount through the end to the bracket by a healthy bolt. Heard from enough people that the Westin's are good and only time will tell but at least with a lifetime warranty against rust, I should be ok.

I got a set of Dee Zee stainless nerfs from Ebay, brand new for $100. I live in Barfallo, where we eat road salt for lunch and so far they have held up great. pics in my gallery.
