first off what yerar is the truck. next what calibration file? is the egr valve still in place and pluged in. what broke that required the repairs to start with?
high delta is a result of reduced flow/volume somewere in the system. you can pop off the egr cooler to oil cooler adapter hose and use a rad kit to see if you have a restriction in it. not exact science though.

its a 2005, i have no idea what a calibration file is but will do the best i can once you tell me EGR is deleted, but valve is in place and plugged in. Problems began when i noticed degas bottle pressuring up and losing coolant, shortly there after the egr cooler went and i immediately deleted it and blocked off the exhuast port with an aftermarket kit. I still had coolant loss and opted to replace headgaskets and install headstuds. since i assumed the oil cooler clogging had killed the EGR and my gaskets, i replaced it as well at the same time. system was thoroughly flused prior to tearing it down and then distil water flushed several times after it was put back together, also replaced fan clutch that i broke the wire off of. Immediatley upon starting truck and test drive, deltas were identical to prior to repair.... Truck runs better now than it ever has, but yet cant get a bead on why i have the deltas still. like previously posted, i cant imagine clogging the cooler almost immediatley after changing it and with the truck running so well now, i know the other repairs were required but still need to address the oil temp.

steelhead2, the deltas were similar, with the only exception, the fan clutch would excessivley engage and stay engaged before, now they are slightly lower with no fan clutch problems..... of course the fan clutch was changed as well..... generally speaking, deltas averaged 190 ect 230 eot unloaded highway speeds, and skyrocketed when pulling anything..... since the repair, i have not pulled anything to know how high it will get after the repair under load.

ok so you blocked off a leaking egr cooler or you got a delete kit?
anyway . to have the same delta befor and after the repair sounds like your barking up the wrong tree.
as stated I chased a truck around and put 3 oil coolers on the thing. end result was a failed front cover alowing water to somewhat bypass around the impeller and causeing a lack of flow.
things you can do... remove and test /inspect t-stat. remove it with the upper hose. fill the upper hose with water and varify the t-stat seals pretty well in the housing.
inspect the blue by pass hose for a nut/bolt/spacer they may have been stuck in there causing a flow reduction.
varify both heater hoses are hot.

I had the same issue with my oil cooler after replacing it and the egr cooler to a aftermarket cooler i still had high oil temps worse then before the replacement so i decided to change it again thinking i had a defected oil cooler come to find out after i took everything apart the egr cooler had some restriction and didn't let enough water flow through it to cool off the oil cooler i just finished replacing the egr cooler and oil cooler again and no problems i would check the coolant flow before assuming the oil cooler is bad.

I thought the oil cooler fed the egr cooler.....? I will check my egr delete and see but anyone thought about the filter bypass. Could that have an impact on oil temps if not working correctly or broken.

If their is restriction it won't flow properly no matter what feeds what if the passage ways are clogged antifreeze won't flow fast enough to cool down the oil cooler
