Ok, I have an old sunroof in my 79 f150 and its been raing non-stop for a week now and of course I cant drive it cause I cant see where Im going because of the rain in my face So I think hey im clever lets put some weather striping around it to see if that works, oh it worked alright.. as I was trying to close it the glass desided to explode all over me... Yes I know, I know not to smart well now I need new glass. Can anyone help me out? Ive used the search here and Ive looked on the net and cant seem to fine any after market web sites. Are there any sites out there?
Thanks
It's possible that a local glass shop will be able to help you. If it's not something they can cut and make, they usually have some aftermarket sources as well.
I don't know what quality your truck is, or what you plan on doing with it in the future, but I don't think I'd waste my money on replacing the glass in a leaky sunroof, I think I'd go to a junkyard and have them cut out a (bigger than you need) piece of roof panel, and have a pro cut it to fit and weld it in, and be done with your leak once and for all.
