I have the steering box, and the I beams to change truck over to front discs brake but i need a steering column to match right? I hope someone answers you as I have a 79/80 LTD that I took the 302 and c4 out of. If I can use the column, I would love to.

Dont know the problems involved in it.

I'm not gonna guarantee it'll fit but my truck has like a 75 steering column in it w/ power brakes and steering.
I dont know if they are the same up til 79 or not, but I hope this helped you out.
After you add power steering get a nice Grant 12 inch steering wheel Looks really nice.. Its what i got in it.
