Drive shaft position

In a stock 64 F100 2wd with 3 spd trans, is the drive shaft position straight back to the third member? When you look at the drive shaft from the back of the truck, is it off to one side or perfectly parallel to the frame rails? Mine whole differential is slightly to the right (passenger side).

Typically, Fords have the engine offset about 2 inches to the passenger side of the engine bay. The diff is offset likewise. If the engine was swapped, whoever did it might not have been aware of this.

Ok, it has the stock motor and trans. I removed the diff. and just was scratching my head when I put it all back together!
