Smoke Issues.

Ok I have an 07 F250 6.0L Stock. I've had it about 4 months. A couple of weeks ago I used Rev X for stiction issues. Ran GREAT. Two days ago i was driving around town and noticed it was blowing white smoke, a lot, but still ran fine. Got home got on to my favorite web site FTE and did some research. I pulled the EGR valve and cleaned it up. Still smoked. The smoke yesterday smelled sweet. I took it to a diesel shop and he hooked up a gauge to the degas tank, he said it looked like a HG. Every thing on FTE tells me hes full of crap. At first I thought EGR Cooler. But today the smoke is black and smells like fuel, so now I'm thinking Injector. I had the stiction issue and now this, thinking its too much of a coincidence. Whats the general thought out there?

Oh yeah and when I pulled the EGR valve it was dry.

Do the FICM test and see if it has the correct voltage. Check out the top of the Tech Folder for the "How To"

get it scaned for codes

do you have any gauges

No gauges, and I had it scanned at Checker.

so is the smoke white or black?? you said both in your post. or was the smoke white one day and then black the next? if its white and smells sweet its the EGR cooler. it sounds like you may have a combonation of problems.

Ok had the guru of powerstrokes out to look at it, first off the PCM was not matched to the truck, so it was from a differant truck and had no flash on it! The #2 injector is shot, and as i thought the EGR and oil collers are partially clogged. But guess what, the head gaskets are fine! DO NOT EVER GO TO RELIABLE DIESEL!! If you live in AZ in the valley call Diesel Diognostics! He will come to you and is lisenced through Ford and has ALL the programs and up to date flashes! He was at my house for 3 hrs today, mainly just explaining how the diesel works and teaching me on proper up keep and he flashed it with the latest flash all for $85.00!
